PIIT28 Program Review

Towards the end of 2017, I decided to level up my commitment to wellness and signed up for Cassey Ho’s PIIT28 fitness program. And yesterday, I finished cycle 1 and I’m ready to share my thoughts & results of her program. 🙂

I found Cassey’s Youtube channel while searching for workout videos. In case you don’t know, ever since I started my wellness journey,  I haven’t signed up for any gym memberships because:

  • First of all, these memberships are EXPENSIVE (around 1,300 SGD ++ for a year)
  • And secondly, I was not sure if I can sustain it and this is very important because if I can’t even exercise regularly without paying anything, then I’m pretty sure I can’t keep a regular gym schedule. So why pay if you can’t commit?

After finding her channel, I slowly tried her workouts and included some of the routines. Then in October 2017, she launched her SHEROIC-themed workout calendar &  every Monday, she would share a PIIT28-inspired video. And because I had so much fun I continued following the November & December fitness calendar + my yoga. So there. After 3 months of following the free workout, I signed up.

  • There are 3 stages of the program
    • PIIT28 1.0
    • PIIT28 2.0
    • PIIT28 3.0
  • Ideally, you should do 2 rounds per stage before you go the next level but yah know! whatever works for you. So if you’re done with round 1 of PIIT28 1.0, you can go straight to 2.0.
  • POP Pilates® + most intense cardio elements of HIIT
  • workout is good for 28 minutes
    • 45 seconds per set
    • 40 seconds of REST
    • repeat for 4 times

1. It was my first time to follow a fitness program and it takes a while to get used to following a specific routine.

Still getting used to, actually. I’ve always had a flexible method and do whatever routine I feel like doing on a particular day. I love to sweat but I also wanna enjoy. That’s why I like Zumba. It’s cardio but it doesn’t give me the feeling the way running does. If you know what I mean…  Ok, it’s just me. I really don’t like running. ✌🏻

2. The Workouts – HARD but totally worth it.

Seriously, the routine may look easy but they are not!!

The exercises were not supposed to be easy but true enough, as you continue doing them, you’ll build the strength and endurance. I did! And I can really tell that I’ve improved.

I’m not a fan of cardio because I prefer weights/strength training. Add up my love-hate relationship with AB workouts but with my improved core strength, I can finish a pretty decent round with fewer complaints. I mean, it burns, but on my mind gurl! you better hold it because this shit is real and workin!” Haha! But seriously, I’m happy with the program and I can’t wait to do one more cycle (I started today, Feb 01) before I do 2.0.

3. Value for Money

The amount you pay for the program will give you:

  • unlimited access to the PIIT28 portal. Everything is digitised, meaning you can access the files and videos anywhere as long as you have a net connection.
  • You can also download the PDF forms, save it on your mobile/pc or even print them out.

I paid 79 USD for the 3 programs and I say I’m getting my money’s worth. Now, this is the part where I’m gonna be straight with you.

If you’re interested in this program, I suggest that you try Cassey’s free workout calendar FIRST. But if you want to pay, then, by all means, do it as well. 😛


The BEFORE shots were the result of the holiday feasts and I really think it was a good starting point for this personal fitness challenge. It’s not just workout tho. Like always,  proper diet played a huge role, too.

Overall, I’m satisfied with Cassey’s fitness program and I look forward to finishing everything by mid-year. If you’re looking for a fun way to workout, I highly recommend that you check it out & try the moves. Try and see if you’ll like like it, love it or hate it.

  1. Thank you SO MUCH for explaining how PIIT28 works. I had some specific questions about the programs and I’ve been googling for an hour and no other reviewer seemed to touch on certain aspects that I wanted to know more about. But then I found this review and bam! All my questions were answered! 🙂
