I already started my search for medium coverage foundations (yes, you read it correctly!) because I really want to achieve that au naturel look – that my-skin-but-better. Lately, I’ve been into skin care but I’ve been trying BB creams and cushion (which I will share in the next couple of weeks) and I really dig them.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Foundation

These are the first set of products that I’ve tried from this brand and because I’ve heard a lot of good things about Bourjois, I went ahead and tried their newest Healthy Mix Anti-Aging foundation and concealer.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Foundation

  • contains a vitamin-infused complex that erases all signs of fatigue for a fresh and healthy-looking complexion
  • semi-matte, ultra-lightweight texture that gives a delightful, bare-skin sensation
  •  provides up to 16H coverage
  • All day, 24-hour hydration
  • Long-lasting, medium coverage
  • gives a natural, healthy-looking glow and 70% more radiance

  • the foundation comes in a clear, glass bottle with a pump, although this won’t be too handy when travelling.

  • I enjoy the clean and fresh scent of this product.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Concealer

  •  contains spherical powders that blurs and smoothens for a silky finish
  • contains light-reflecting pigments that provide immediate radiance and an undetectable finish

  • it comes in a clear, small bottle with a doe-foot applicator.
  • I really like the packaging of this concealer because it’s easy to pack in your bag or purse, especially when you travel.

  • I also enjoy the clean and fresh scent of the concealer, just like the foundation.

Both products contain Vitamins C, E and B5

This is how I usually do my makeup lately, and for this look, I used both products and wore it for about 5 hours in an air conditioned environment & a little walk outside on the way to the train stations. I also did a few check-ins (no touch-ups) to see how the foundation and concealer wear, please refer to the photos below:

I picked up the shade 51 – Light Vanilla for both foundation & concealer and used 2 pumps of foundation & my Artis Oval 7 brush to apply it on my face. After it settled, I really liked how my skin feels.

Despite a little redness showing up, I like how the rest of my skin looked.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Foundation Full Review

First, let me throw this out that I was not expecting much from this foundation because I know that getting used to non-full coverage products will take time and when I swatched it on my hand and felt the texture, I can tell that this is very light, so coverage-wise, it’s a bit sheer (in my opinion). So when I found out that it was supposed to be a medium to buildable coverage, I was like “…really?

So here’s the roundup of my overall review for these 2 products:

  • It was very light on the skin as of I’m not wearing anything on my face yet my skin looked good. This is great especially on days like this when I have breakouts. I need something to even out my skin, plus a little coverage.
  • doesn’t give you a sticky feeling.
  • didn’t settle on my pores & crevices of my face.
    • This is very important for me because I just hate hit when my foundations would sit on my pores after 2-3 hours.

I really liked how my skin feels; as if I’m not wearing anything on my face but my skin looked good. I’m having one of the worse weeks because of my breakouts and my under eyes are puffy AF.

  • definitely did not live up to the 16H wear as promised (pls refer to the photos above).
  • my redness, nose area (where my glasses hits my face), pimples and pimple marks showed up after 2-3 hours of wear.
  • has a limited shade.

And tho’ I got a bit shiny after 3 hours, it’s not the icky kind so all you have to do is grab a tissue and dab the oily areas. This foundation will work for those with dry skin but if you have combination to oily skin, you need to pat the face with a translucent powder. If you wish to maintain effortless, healthy glow, just apply the powder on the T-zone and leave the rest of the face.

Do I like it? Yes.

Do I love it? Uhm, not sure. Again, I’m new with this kind of finish but I say, it’s something that I would use when I’m out for errands or grocery or a Sunday brunch. I will be experimenting with this a little more and see if it will work with a BB or CC cream as a base, and I’ll definitely let you know about it! 😉

  • this foundation is sold at 29.90 SGD per bottle
  • available at Watsons & Sasa Stores Singapore

Now, I had high hopes on the concealer and I’m glad that it did a wonderful job of making me look a decent human being despite having puffy eyes and dark circles.

The concealer is not so creamy yet not runny. It’s liquidy (if there is such a thing) and it’s actually my first time to try this kind of consistency for a concealer. Given this, I was actually afraid that it might not do anything on my problem areas but, thankfully, I was wrong! 😀

Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Concealer - 51 Vanille

In case you’re wondering, for the purpose of testing the product, I didn’t use any colour correctors. I prefer using a wet sponge when blending the under eye concealer and later on set with a translucent powder. This is actually better than my 40 SGD KVD concealer… so you can tell that I’m very disappointed with that one. 😑

this is concealer won’t work if you are trying to cover skin problems.

The only downside of this product, but also worth mentioning, is that this concealer won’t work if you are trying to cover skin problems. It’s great for the under eyes but you have to get a different concealer to do the rest of the job.

  • sold at 17.50 SGD per bottle
  • available at Watsons & Sasa Stores Singapore.
