I’ve been reviewing a number of Colourpop’s products for more than a year now and this is the first time to purchase from one of their collaborations.
Described as a translucent peachy tone sprinkled with multi-dimensional glitter in a glitter sheer finish. This is such a beauty, especially when applied on top of another eyeshadow, regardless of colour. It brings life to your simple eye look.
- 5 USD or 12 SGD
Described as a creamy ivory with a subtle gold duo chrome effect in a pearlized finish. This is the only product that I got from this collection that did not impress me.
If you have used highly pigmented highlighters such as BECCA then you will also be disappointed with this. It was too subtle that you can only see it when you are in a darker room. I mean, it’s nice but not impressive. I always go out in the daytime and when I applied it, I cannot find my highlight. So this is a no for me.
- 8 USD or 15 SGD
Polite Society lip liner is described a warm nude, this shade appeared a bit pinky on me.
Polite Society Lippie Stix is described as a warm peach in a matte finish. This is a lovely colour that you can wear every day. If you are looking for a shade that you may want to give to your teenage niece or daughter, this is a lovely option.
Described as a deepened berry red with a matte finish, this shade has similarities with Besame Cosmetics’ 1946 Red Velvet.
- Lippie Stix and Lip liners are sold at 5 USD each or 12 SGD.
I was happy that I tried other Colourpop products. I heard a lot of great things about their eyeshadows and so far, I really like Alchemy. I will try to get the different finishes so I can get a better appreciation and understanding, which of course, I will share here. As for the highlighter, I was not impressed.
The lip liner is love! Why didn’t I try them earlier?? They are creamy, highly pigmented and easy to use. 5 USD for a lip liner? That’s simply awesome.
Lastly, the lippie stix – also highly pigmented and easy to use. Great quality for a 5 USD lipstick.
UPDATE on AVAILABILITY
I purchased these from Pingbong BUT!
Starting July 12th, Colourpop is now offering International Delivery options except for China and Turkey. There is no flat rate for shipping because, according to their snapchat updates, the delivery cost will depend on the weight of your orders. I think they have a bracket for the weight and cost. 😀 So what are you waiting for??!
