London Travel Diaries 2014: Madame Tussauds

Visiting London’s Madame Tussaud’s is one of our to-do lists and after checking their website to buy tickets online, we decided that maybe it’s better if we buy from the counter so we won’t be pressured by the time indicated on our tickets. I mean, plans may always be changed and we may not know if we’ll have an early or late lunch on our first day in town.

Madame Tussauds outsideWe reached the museum at around 3 in the afternoon and we were assisted by the staffs who welcomed us at the entrance. The line was not that long but for some reason, we waited for more than 30 minutes before the counter opened and accommodated the visitors.  Must be that they were understaffed or something. Our ticket costs £30 each and it includes the Marvel Experience.

The museum was huge. I was excited to see everything and have photos with almost every wax figure. I’ve decided to just share the highlights of our visit so I won’t overshare.

Cab Ride

The last part of our tour at the museum was a “cab ride” and as it moves along, a voice-over narrates the history of London. Some of the displays were animated and as you listen and watch the presentation of London’s history, you will have a better appreciation and understanding of their culture.

Berry’s Travel Tip:

Always be camera-ready. Towards the mid-part of this segment, there will be cameras taking your photos and if you will get some of their souvenir items, you may choose the photos from those shots.
